Peter Douben, PhD is an environmental toxicologist with over 25 years of experience in regulatory affairs and industry. He has a particular interest in the cleaning and health care sectors, but also in the pigment industry and its downstream users. He is a Managing Director of REACHWise Ltd, a consultancy focussed on the implementation of REACH and CLP, thus supporting companies with their compliance through regulatory and specialist input. He is a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Managers, and of the Society of the Environment. His involvement in working groups has covered European and North American Task Forces, as well as involvement with the REACH Implementation Projects for Chemical Safety Assessment. As a trainer this experience and interest extends to events for the practical implementation of REACH. He has published papers and books relating to environmental pollution and risk assessment.
